    Nice coins, though I'm a bit skeptical about the find. I've seen plenty of other youtube vids of people metal detecting that were clearly staged situations. Make your video popular enough get lots of views and maybe the found treasure is the money made with the advertising profit share.

    What's most interesting to me about this find, and I see no reason to think this is not an authentic find, is the condition of the coins. As he pulls them out of the water some are completely charcoal color toned. Which is expected for coins buried for ~180 years. Some appear mottled. But a few appear untoned. If you would post pictures of those few untoned coins on a coin forum I'm sure the consensus would be that they have all been cleaned or dipped at some time in the recent past. Although I think that most 200 year old untoned coins have been cleaned. Under the right conditions that is not necessarily so.

    wow. amazing. makes me want to get a metal detector in about 3-4 years. maybe by then I can get a good 1.
