I found this odd looking Nickel while searching recently, and I have not been able to find many examples of similar type error coins. The coin that resembled most to this one was thought to be a trial strike coin. Does anyone know what category this coin falls into, and it's value.
It's a magicians coin...it is a shell, and another coin with the reverse image of a nickel will fit into it. It is not an error.
not an error. it was hollowed out to make a two headed coin. another nickel would be ground down to fit inside that one
