what is that little hook in the 9?

to me this looks like something sharp has cut a small slice off the 9 and pushed it over off the 9 . It looks like light is showing thru under this in the photo , that is why I believe it is a piece of the 9

 

nope that is not the case what could have possibly cut that and move it? the 9 is still
in tacked and nothing around the 9 supports that theory.

 

Could be a minor lam peel that flaked off of the 9.

 

thats a piece of copper it almost looks like the tip of the 9 I dont know if
that is possible. I need to take a few more pics from different angles so You
guys can have a better look at whats going on.

 

try to look up under this and see if it is completely attached to the coin or if it loose from the coin and just attached to the 9

 

Its solid except for the very tip.

 

It's just damage. Nothing more.
