Thought it was a magic token or something a first, but really not sure.

At the bottom of the second side it says what looks like W H & CO Newark, which I assume is Whitehead and Hoag, well known producers of medallions.

Reverse looks like a crude version of Indian coins.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Certainly an interesting item.

The lady on the obverse might be Eve of the Bible being tempted with an apple.

    How big is it?

    :)

Is the woman supposed to be balancing on a ball while twirling a ribbon? That would look like a circus act of some sort, but why a stray hand holding a heart would be floating out of the clouds, I have no idea! Strange lettering too, neat find :)

  7. I'm going to go with Eve, apple, snake (not ribbon or tail).

The symbols on the reverse appear to be in part astrology symbols from mixed regions such as the II stylization for Gemini, the scorpion for Scorpio and the triangle for trine. Not sure about some of the others.

  9. So constellation map on one side..

Thanks for the interesting input folks. I thought it was a ribbon and a heart rather than a snake/tail and apple personally.

    Willie: it's 28mm in diameter
