    silentnviolent accumulator--selling--make an offer I can't refuse

Hi all. I just found this pretty cool die clash. The pillars from the memorial reverse are easily seen in the field in front of Lincoln's chin. Just wanted to share and hear some comments. Thanks everyone. :) 057.JPG 058.JPG

Wow! Here is a second example, this one more pronounced than the first! :) 059.JPG 060.JPG

are you finding these from the same roll ? if you are they may be from the same die. usually when I find a error coin in a new roll of coins there will be more just like it from the same die. the die clash marks will start to become less visiable after the die strikes a lot of coins.

No... though they probably came from the same roll. Several months ago I bought two steel cases full of cents in 2x2's. I didn't look through them much, but the first one I pulled out turned out to be a 1957D-1MM-004, then I found 10 examples of a die crack which I started a thread on, then six examples of another but haven't done anything with them yet. Then today I pulled these two clashes, and a possible 1957D-DDO-001 that I started a thread on. I'm glad I'm looking closer at them now. :)

sounds like someone opened some original rolls of these coins and you came along and found them. this would make it highly possible for your die clash coins to be from the same die.

Not about the OP, and I apologize for a hi-jack, but ... why don't coin peeps use copper staples?
