    I look forward to seeing the other side of the coin. I don't recognize it but perhaps you could tell us the diameter, weight, and confirm that it is silver (as it appears that color in the one photo).

    Looks a bit like lead or pewter. Agree with the above-- would like a picture of the other side, the diameter, and the weight.

    Doug, yes, I know the classic coins of Kyrene and the iconic silphium. The tree in question does not look like the pictures I found for "pomegranate" and the fruits are kind of heart-shaped. Presentations of silphium are somewhat different on different coins. Without the obverse we do not know if this is a coin or a medal or what.
