Looks normal to my eyes, but I do believe there's a variety of 1880-S Morgans with a large Trade Dollar "S". Not saying that's what it is, just wanted to hear myself talk
mintmarks were hand-punched onto the working dies until 1990, so you will see a wide variety of mintmarks punched in different positions and angles on your coins.
Thanks, I think? Lots of drama around intercept concepts in CT. I like it and would like to buy 10-15 more. My oldest Morgan is 1879, I have two of them, in a cardboard/plastic sleeve deal. I want to store them properly ASAP.
