So I have a 1966 Jefferson, and im pretty sure its a proof, but the 2014 Red Book says that only 2 PF-65 were struck, and they were given to the designer. Here is the coin, it is much more mirrored than my camera shows. what do yall think? 20131011_202959.jpg 20131011_203009.jpg

it does look like a proof. could be fake though.

Notice that the edges are rounded. Proofs have sharp, square edges.

Your pics leave much to be desired, too.

It is not a proof, it is an SMS Jefferson, this is what they look like.

Thank youall, I appreciate the passing of knowledge! I have a '63 and a '68 that are quite the same finish, as well as '68, '70, and '72 dimes(the '69 is mirror with a frosty cam, like most of my proofs) and '68, '69, and '71 Washington quarters also... same story with those? I have to google "SMS" as im not sure what that means. And am I morally obligated to tell the guy I bought the proofs from that they are not?

SMS is Special Mint Set....The Government produced these sets from 1965-1967

    Regardless, it's a mighty nice 1966!
