So I have a 1966 Jefferson, and im pretty sure its a proof, but the 2014 Red Book says that only 2 PF-65 were struck, and they were given to the designer. Here is the coin, it is much more mirrored than my camera shows. what do yall think?
Notice that the edges are rounded. Proofs have sharp, square edges. Your pics leave much to be desired, too.
Thank youall, I appreciate the passing of knowledge! I have a '63 and a '68 that are quite the same finish, as well as '68, '70, and '72 dimes(the '69 is mirror with a frosty cam, like most of my proofs) and '68, '69, and '71 Washington quarters also... same story with those? I have to google "SMS" as im not sure what that means. And am I morally obligated to tell the guy I bought the proofs from that they are not?
