    My wife said The letter should be "I" Its Latin. She is my spell check and knows a lot.

    Yes, the entire inscription is in Latin. Hence "IESVS", not "JESUS" ... but not "LESVS" either. ;)

    On the evening news they said four of the medals were sold before the recall.
    That's a valuable four medals.

    I've seen a lot of words mis-spelled, but not one that's a ticket to hell for the proofreader!
