I bought one coin, received a different one.

There are two different varieties of Mexican 20 centavos from 2009. I have the smaller variety and I need the bigger one. They really don't look anything alike. One is bronze color and has edges that are not round. The other is smaller, silver in color and has round edges. So I bought this coin: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MEXICO-20-C...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I received this type in the mail. http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces18096.html

I contacted the seller. He insists that the coin he sent is the one in the auction photo and that he lived in Mexico and there is only one variety. I know what I'm talking about here. I don't know why he didn't just send the coin in the photo.

Forgive the horrid grammar in the title.

Maybe you should send him the links you posted.

Who knows why he didn't send the proper coin, but it's probably not worth the aggravation (for $2.30) to pursue. Remember, you have the power of leaving negative feedback while being immune from a retaliatory neg, so go for it.

Fixxed. :) You could also send the seller this link; it is obvious that he made a mistake ...

I did after I got his response, so I'll see what he says. And it's true that it's not worth a lot of aggravation for such a small amount of money, but I hoped that he'd say "Oh, you're right. I'll send you the correct coin." Which is what usually happens. I feel like I've had a lot of problems like this lately with people sending me the wrong coins.

I almost never leave negative feedback and am hesitant to do so.

I guess try to explain it properly before making the next move. I would love to have a buyer like you tbh. More than happy to have refunded it if I made a mistake and let you keep it.

I'm having a rough time with a seller and a buyer right now. This seller claims that he's out of money and can't refund me - he attempted to sell me a counterfeit and it's almost close to 100 dollars. It's way beyond the return timeframe so I missed that opportunity of opening a case. A buyer demands that I send him via regular mail but he caused a stink bomb with a previous mail that I've sent him. Complained that the postage was slow, no tracking etc and was very very quick in opening a case. I gave him only two options - either pay up for registered mail or he's more than welcome to cancel the transaction. He refused both. Obviously I wouldn't want to do more business with either of them.

I always try to be reasonable on eBay and almost everyone I've dealt with when I've had a problem has tried to make it right. The only times I've left negative feedback was when the person didn't reply at all. Most of what I buy is small value stuff like this so maybe people are more willing to help because either it's a small amount of money or they figure I'm probably not lying since what's the point over $2? Something like this is weird though because he obviously has the coin if he took a photo of it, but he's acting like he doesn't know what I'm talking about.
