A stranger no , but someone I trust I would . I'd wouldn't buy off of a stranger as one would never know if the coin was hot , plus I don't trust the new swipe your card technology for regular people .
yeah i dont realy trust it ether the paypal here app lets you even take a picture of the card. (dosent let you save it tho) some ones bound to make a keylogger type thing for android. I braught this up because when i got my paypal debit card i use at atms. i got a flyer for a free reader. and it came in the mail today and was messing around with it to see how it works. its a cool ideal but unsecure. i wonder if drug dealers know about this
it depends how long it has been laying on the street, and what condition it is in. It would probably have some kind of damage.
lol i got it cus it was free the app does make you turn on gps when swiping a card so the transaction is location stamped
Heck I really don't see what good that does , I'd know where I bought it so the location is already known . I just want to make sure my information is safe . About Craigslist , I 've never used it before so I wouldn't buy a coin on it . Is it regulated in any way ? Are there safeguards there for the buyer like at paypal ?
well if any one wants one to mess with for free https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/credit-card-reader also allows you to sorta scan the card using your camera or enter the card manualy as well as get payed from some one elses pay pal to yours using the app and theres a bank check option for checks but not sure how to use it
Works in very few countries only. Another option would be this system http://www.izettle.com/ which is geographically limited too, but it would work for me. (Currently iZettle sells a kit for small merchants and even consumers that costs about €15 but comes with a €20 voucher.) And no, I would not use my card in such an environment - but for a different reason: I will not buy expensive coins "off the street", and a piece that costs €5 or so I can buy using cash. Now at a coin show I may well use my credit card with such a mobile reader. After all, while the seller may be "unknown" (to me), I would at least know the name and address of the business ... Christian
I sure would. There's no liability with credit cards. If it gets stolen I would just call the credit card company and get a new card and have the charges taken off.
