This thread will take a couple of days, as I am yet to get my self together from the awesome experience of the fall PNNA coin show.

So for the first day I'll do the boring stuff .

Ancient coins were ALL OVER! There were approximately 80 dealers there, about 20 (at most) brought ancients, and there were at least four dealers who only carried them. Also, there was a nice mix of different types, grades, and prices. Truly something for everything.

Also well represented were, US, chop marked, medieval(slightly), condor tokens, and currency.

Tune in the next few days for a Stevex style multiple coin presentation!

    Stay awesome my friends.;)

Curious? ... the look of my CoinTalk toolbar is different than usual (is it just me, or has there been a change?)

Yup, there was an update a little while ago.

Sadly, quite a weak update in my opinion, no? (oh well ... as always, I'll merely get familiar with it and forget about how good the ol' days used to be?)

    ;)

Can't yet, the only half-decent camera my family has is my dad's cell phone, and since he's at work, you'll have to wait about two hours:(.

I can give hints though, a counter stamp, a half penny, and a Frenchy;)!

My coins are so unorganized you wouldn't be able to find them!

    HERE WE GO!!!

This is a French one sou which was counter marked with "RF" to designate that was meant for their colonies in the new world. These included Louisiana and Canada.

    It's graded PCGS XF-40

No, I can't tell what it is, but if I get out the patina it'd be easier.

I just don't feel comfortable doing that though.

I'll try, and hopefully I'll bring an exhibit too.

By then Katy will have aged out of being in the YN section(Your show is after January right?), so I might have a chance of winning something.;)

Arrggg! I can't wait until tomorrow, here is my favorite pick up.

I had a chance to look through a few coins in envelopes like this, all English coins.
The collection apparently had all different ranges of quality, from multi-thousand dollar coins, to junk. All the ones I saw were different denominations, but this piece seemed to be the best for it's grade, and I have no regrets over this buy.

    Colonial/counter stamp/chop mark.

I love most English coins before 1800 though, after that it gets boring.
