It's definitely the better of the 1944D/S cents. To fully grade it though, I would need to see the entire obverse and reverse separately from these images.

There seems to be a little extra circulation wear on the date.

Anyway, other pics would help. Nice Find!

Well I'll be! That's the one. Looks like a VF-35 with the hits. Should fetch a nice price. Great find!

Which part? Check the coin...full wheat stalks, a little bit of mint luster left, sure, maybe more realistically it would be a 30, but I don't think 35 is out of the question.
At any rate, it is without a doubt the 1OM-001, which commands a rather decent premium in ANY grade.

What is your opinion of the coin, Frank?

okay, I'll pass -- but it doesn't match the OMM in Cherrypickers Guide.

I will say this about the coin, when you look at it under just the loop it is right on with all the whitman books i have at home , I compared the picture's this time. Now what it's worth I don't even have a clue . Last night I was thinking 100$ bucks

There are two 1944 OMMs listed in the CPG...1OM-001 and 1OM-002. This is without a doubt 1OM-001, the one listed in the CPG. The horn on the D, remnants of the S, and mintmark position are all a match.

One in worse condition sold last month for around $50, I would imagine $75+ on ebay for your example.
