I finally purchased my first slabbed coin! It is not a major purchase since I am still new to this hobby and cautious to make a large purchase, but nonetheless, I am still satisfied and excited to receive it. It was an Ebay purchase, so I am crossing my fingers that I will not experience any problems.

I paid $16 for it. Let me know what you think.

Can anyone else remember their first slabbed coin? Do you still have it? Would love to hear stories and see pictures. $(KGrHqJ,!qwFIyPJ-cg+BSPf!(EPjg~~60_57.jpg $(KGrHqN,!rkFIzlf0CGDBSPf!Q,Do!~~60_57.jpg

Congrats on your first slab buy!

First slabbed coin I bought was an 1856 Large cent (slanted 5) in F12 slabbed by PCGS for $30.
First coin I sent in to be slabbed was an 1835 half dime, came back XF details, env. damage.
I plan on sending a few more coins in that I am fairly certain are problem free, including a colonial or two, a bust half, and a half cent. :)

It looks very frosty and original. The images also make it look like an MS66. I like the coin and you have done much better than most for their first slab.

My first slabbed coin was a 1927-D SLQ PCGS graded MS64 in a rattler slab. This was at a time when rattlers were the most common slab out there, about twenty years ago, so it was not exotic. That coin was sold many years ago, too.

I meant to also tell you that this is the PCGS slab generation that was produced from about October, 1998 (it replaced the OGH slabs) through February, 2002 or so.

My first was a gift from my girlfriend: an 1881s Morgan in an old PCGS clacker slab. I still have the old girl.

Congrats on your first TPG coin.

I didn't remember, so I just looked it up. My first was: 50C 2005 S CLAD PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO on 4/24/2006 for $10.50 shipped.
