Everybody knows I eBay a lot... occasionally I get free bonus coins with my purchases, and occasionally I give them. What's your biggest bonus? Here's mine:

Biggest received: AU+ 1922 peace dollar along with a circulated silver Washington quarter.
Biggest given: 1836 Capped Bust Half in F-VF condition.

The reason I gave away the bust half was because I felt that someone overpaid for their win by hundreds of dollars. They were quite pleased and I earned a repeat customer (who doesn't expect a bonus every time, but like many of my repeat customers, gets the occasional free coin).

Do you mind if I ask what you sold where you gave a 1836 Bust Half as a bonus? That's a great bonus! I think the only bonus I've ever received was an "MS-70" SGS slabbed 1987P Washington Quarter. I opened the slab, spent the quarter, and used the slab for some Seated Liberty quarter or another.

I have received a packet of byzantine scyphates, (about 10) as a bonus. I admit I think of it as a nice gesture, but it doesn't really change my buying habits.

All those flips that comes with each coin from Provident metal. I usually give them all way.
Those original capsule that holds 2014 Kooks are also given away for free. I replace them with the black ring air tites.

I have to find better sellers. I have bought thousands of dollars of coins at a time from a few dealers and have never received anything.

So do I. Now HJB used to give me a yearly gift certificate, but I have not been buying much lately so I can't blame them. Only two freebies - a graded state quarter and a state quarter key chain. Both appreciated - but not really needed. As a matter of fact I think they were just wanting to unload them. :)

When I sold my Barber Dime set a few years back, 1 person bought almost half of the coins listed. They had a few good deals and started a few bidding wars too, so I included with their purchase an AU details 1914-S that had nicely toned after an old cleaning. Beautiful semi-key that I rather regret giving away :-(

    Best received.... Acid date Buff

I friend of mine got a Hawaiian dime as a freebie once and immediately listed it on eBay... sold it for $90. That was quite a bonus! I'm guessing the seller didn't know what he had.

A funnier question would be what's the chintziest bonus you've ever gotten? I got a 2011 cent. It wasn't even BU - the seller put it in a flip with an attribution no less, lol.

When I sold my all my notes I gave a display holder with each order. I recieved a 1928 gold certificate once because a shop mailed me a platinum coin. That's how they reimbursed my for postage. It was even a crisp one.

When I travel to Seoul, I always get the most recent Korean mint set from one of the little coin-shop proprietors as a free gift (A $7 value!) with my purchase of $500 USD or more. yea.

Actually, I've never given. Dang, now I feel like I should do that next time I sell something. If I ever sell something.

I made a purchase at a local coin show, and as part of my change I was given a Hawaii dollar, which I'd never seen before.

What type of "hawaii dollar"? Surely not the ones that go for $1,000+...?

I've never collected notes, only coins, so don't know much about them, but it was in very poor condition. Still, I put it in a banknote sleeve and kept it.
