Just bought my muffin from the cafeteria and needed my chili cheese fritos to round out part of this nutritious breakfast. While walking to the vending machine, realized I did not have enough change to get the fritos due to price increases. Frown. Walk up to machine intending to hopefully dredge enough coins from my pockets and see a pile of change on top of the machine (I'm 6'5 so maybe it was there for a while). Picking them up I see the reverse of one of the quarters looks a lot like posted coins....flip it over...1941!!! No mintmark. I'd say it's between G4 and VG8 but I am the opposite of an expert. It has some black "toning"? around the edges of the portrait. The edge is somewhat worn but the details of the portrait and eagle seem pretty decent. I can't upload pictures at this time. Yes!!!
My 2nd ever circulation find, including the silver nickel that got me lurking on this board. It may have been a plant, but either way works for me!
It makes up for 1/2 of the 10 dollar bill I dropped in the parking lot last week that blew right into some guy's wheel. That stunk.
