I just have a few questions concerning this dime, but first I would like to say thank you all for your patience. I know it is probably annoying dealing with a newby. Now, about the dime. It seems thicker than others. The obverse seems deep and has what looks like an extra rim. The reverse also has what looks like an extra rim. What would be the cause of this and what term(s) would you give to it. Thanks.

On the last two pictures, the dime in question is the one on the right. I just used a regular dime (left) for comparison reasons.

Is the diameter the same? If it is smaller your dime is probably compressed.

probably too much stricking pressure making the center get thinner while the rim got thicker

Actually the one on the left is a pretty decent dime.... My camera is just outdated I suppose. It's not the best. Thank you for your input.
