1859 Indian Head Cent: Lamination or PMD?

    the coin has taken a hard hit a long time ago. notice how the coin is worn more above the E in ONE , this is likely to be this way from this area being pushed out a little from the obverse side hit.

    Sorry, It's post Mint Damage. That's why there is a flat area on the reverse and scratches (depressions) on the obverse rim. Someone hit it a long time ago.
