1968 D Penny

This penny looks like it has a number 2 stamped on the rim of the reverse right above the NI in United. Any thoughts?

That's weird. Still looks like a 2 to me. Oh well, I'll throw it in a pile of the ones I keep just for fun. Thanks for the response.

 

Any similarity of the damage to a 2 is merely coincidence.
