I run across these all the time on eBay. I know I occasionally make mistakes too, but these still make me laugh.

    Here's a "vary" nice coin: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1901-Indian...69?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3cd671ffed

    Here's a unique "drapped" bust dollar: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1798-DRAPPE...99?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item25834a444f

    Here's a great set of "nickles": http://www.ebay.com/itm/Liberty-Hea...92?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item232ff20620

Don't you just love this "halve" dollar?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1858-O-Seat...84?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item5ae5c98178

Thank God you put a winkie emoticon in your title :D

This thread seems like a good place for a public service announcement regarding proper use of apostrophes...

You see it on the message boards as well with posters misusing their/there/they're, then/than and an assortment of others.

Most of the time it's just a case of fingers typing faster than the thought process.

I sometimes think there are more "commerative" than "commemorative" coins on eBay.

LOL, to funny. A member on here was polite enough to send me a PM stating I had made a typo in one of my posts. As hard as I try my grammar is the pits! Thank god for Spell Check!

This is actually a great way to get stuff cheaply on ebay because it's harder for people to find, so you have less competition. I always search for stuff like 'nickle', 'dolar' 'eisenhauer', and that sort of thing. There are some tools online where you type in a search and it'll do a misspelled search for you.

I hate these listings, and do everything to avoid sending them a note, and a link to a spelling dictionary
