    Maesa, Julia, sestertius (another new one from yesterday's show). This coin has no patina and little wear but was either flatly struck or scraped (brick cleaned by an archaeologist???) leaving ugly scrapes on the high parts. The portrait die is excellent with a world class double chin. The color makes me wonder if this coin spent time in water (mud at the bottom of a river?).
