Ordered one of these last night, I do have one of the first 55. The difference is the new one has a symbolic face value of 5 cents whereas the first ones struck had a symbolic face value of $20
Beautiful, end of roll toner. Taste the rainbow. Typical weak San Fran strike on this lady. Sup George?
1913-C Canadian Sovereign MS63 PCGS RARE KEY COIN This is an old friend come back home. I sold this to a friend of mine in a moment of delirium, and after a year or two I coaxed him out of it. The 1913-C sovereign had a mintage of only 3,715 pieces, and it is the KEY to the Canadian series, next to the 1916-C which has a spotty reputation (apparently some folks got burned on that one). I intend to keep this and most of my Canadian in the background for a while and see where the collection takes me ...Haxby prices this in MS63 at $3,600, CCN Trends at $4,000. As far as I can tell, CoinsandCanada.com doesn't have Canadian gold prices. Enjoy! Best Regards, George
got desert storm off ebay, Queensland mint made quite a few different ones, still waiting for one that depicts a tank on reverse. FYI- from what i've read so far, new queensland mint is not a "real" mint and is in california which makes these not "real " coins, google new queensland mint for more info, but i still think some of these coins are cool but i still would'nt pay over 5 or 6 bucks for em.
now the marshall island desert storm coins i believe are real, they came encapsulated in a 3 coin set the first is 1 oz silver , 2nd is solid brass an third is cupronickel an came in a felt lined case w/COA
Picked this beauty up today. Waited awhile to find one. Still looking for a 1791, Liverpool Half Penny. Should I send it to CAC?
PS Yes I would send it to CAC, it sure looks solid (to high-end) for the grade to me. But do they do Colonials? Best Regards, George
Why would you consider this a colonial? This token, made in Birmingham, England never circulated in America. Almost all in U.S. collections were imported from England after 1860.
