How about an old error?

I've owned 3 of these. This is by far my nicest. 1857 flying eagle cent clashed with a $20 gold double eagle! See Ms. Liberty's head? It's going to PCGS, but I doubt it'll grade. It has some dark crustiness and may have been wiped clean. But you never know.

Very much so.

As far as Flying Eagle varieties go, the clashes are hands-down the most interesting IMO. Nice pick up.

 

Same for me. Always wished someone would have found a $20 gold piece or the 50 cent piece with the matching cent clash. Fun stuff.

 

It would have made for a very impressive set pairing indeed!
