2000 P Virginia State Quarter that's black

    I'm new to this..the quarter is very dull and black on both sides...I'm working on uploading the front now...anyone know what this could be?? Thanks in advance!

    Looks like a dug coin - one dug up by a person with a metal detector.

    Yeah it might be. But it could just be ordinary dirt & grime that gets on some coins during the course of normal circulation.
