I have quite a lot of Susan B Anthonys. From what I have read, they aren't really worth more than face value at this time except for certain ones. Are these coins expected to eventually go up in value or are they pretty much always going to be worth $1?
ok im a newbie but susan b anthonys are the "crazy uncle who is invited to every party because we don't want him to feel bad" The SBA was a "hated" coin among coin collectors. im not sure why but it is what it is. I mean I would hold on to them even if they never go up in value give 'em to your kids or something. I think they might go up in value though because people just circulated them which means no one will have any...
I'm going to guess that they will be worth $1 for a VEEEEEEEEEEEEERY long time. I get tons and tons of these every time I buy dollar rolls. The only thing I see as being worth keeping would be any 79P wide rims you have. If they were my SBA's I would keep one of each date/mm and turn the rest of them in to the bank and get something else to look through.
Not in my lifetime... and even if they did go up in value many decades down the road, the return is not going to make it worth holding them.
Thanks for all the replies! I have been trying to decide whether they are worth keeping or not and your answers are helpful.
My least favorite coin behind the Ikes. I have a few for some reason but never see myself collecting them
The coins before the dead presidents are my favorite. At least the Silver Eagle is the old Walker on the obverse
