I picked up 10 of them in average circulated condition for $3.50 each. Was that a decent deal or not ?

Depends what you consider average circ if they were f or up it still high but not bad if vg ro g then it was a bad deal they really arent worth much right now because so many were saved and they are easy to come up with !!

For that price well worth collecting, they are worth at least $2. :) I see upside potential here.

I would say most of them are extremely fine.

Not a bad price. I think its a good deal when you can pick them up for any where between $2-$4...

Just noticed that the first one in the stack was a 1963. The other nine are 1953, if that makes a difference.

That makes a difference, I see 1953 $2 notes selling between $8 and $18 in nice condition on ebay, so you did very well. :)
