Hi everyone. Today Joe came home from school with Flat Stanley. For those of you not familiar with him, it is a project that 1st graders do to learn more about different parts of the country/world. He is supposed to send him off to far away places and have his picture taken in front of significant landmarks and come home bearing souveniers (I was thinking coins ;), see...not too far OT) and stories. I've also been chatting with his teacher about incorporating Joe's world coins into a lesson plan for her that will be included in their geography unit so this will kinda tie right in. My question is this...Where does everyone live? I'm looking for 2 or 3 people who might be willing to help that live as far away as possible. Who have we got here from over the pond? Also maybe 1 or 2 volunteers from here in the US that live near major landmarks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I live where the Erie Canal runs into the Niagara river...but...I could make the short drive North (about 11 miles) and get a nice pic of your flat friend at Niagara Falls.

Wow! Thanks to everyone for their offers of help, y'all are so generous. I plan on sitting down with Joe and showing him where each one of you are on the map and let him decide where he'd like to send Flat Stanley. I'll be in touch via PM if he'd like to send him your way. Thanks again!
