Maybe it's just me, but I think the word "COPY" on the reverse might have something to do with it.

 

I reported this one.

 

My eyesight isn't what it used to be....where is "copy" on the coin????

 

On the reverse look just to the left of "D" in dime

 

Yeah, look at between 9 and 11 on the reverse buried in the wreath.

 

He clearly states that it is a copy.

 

Far down in the details. Also, he lists it as a 1892 dime, and its a copy of the 1894S. An 1894S by itself should alert a knowledgable collector its a fake.

He does clearly state that it's a copy, but unfortunately for him, Ebay's rules do not allow the selling of replica coins even if they are clearly marked.

 

I see it now. I thought I saw something odd in the wreath on the left side, but was looking for more ornate text.
