1957D Die Break and Double Die?

    I know this is a die break going on in the 9 but the E in LIBERTY
    and under the eye is that doubling?

    I think it is displaced metal from damage. The middle bar of the E is shorter than it should be. Something either hit or cut down the middle of it, slicing the tip, and displaced the metal in the process.

    side of the T appears to have
    been sheared.
