This is kind of funny, considering that out of all the wheats I have accumulated, I don't have a single BIE chip coin. This 1999-P Zincoln appears to be a "Pre-BIE" chip. There is a very narrow die crack that runs through the right edge of the B, curves around, runs through the left edge of the E, and then curves around and connects. Still kind of cool to me. I haven't seen any Zincoln BIE chips. I just wish this one was a later die state. Then I would have a BIE. I outlined the crack in the second pic.
That's really neat. I have seen a progression by a member over on the LCR of the die cracks on a wheat cent that led to a BIE.
