Heres a nice 1967 Lincoln Cent, I would think just because of the doubling on LIBERTY, would make this a new DDO, the date (67) has nice doubling to, along with IN GOD WE, (top part) just put TRUST up because I took photos of it
Sorry Rick, this one definitely appears to be MD. Too flat and shelf-like to be a doubled die IMO. Keep up the hunt!
thanks everybody for the input, only 5 dollars to have checked, and potter lives in my neighborhood, I know the mint took ever good care of this coin, its from 1967, and looks like it was minted yesterday, this is one of my cancer coins, in 2002 when I was doing chemotherapy, my bank was getting 25 dollar boxes of pennies, date 1982, along with lots of other stuff too !!
I'd have to say the date and LIBERTY definitely look like MD, and it's hard to tell if there is some extra thickness around IN GOD... Sometimes I start thinking I'm seeing something, but then that feeling goes away...so it will be interesting to see what KP says. It's an inexpensive lesson. Two things: 1) How cool to live so close to a coin expert like that; 2) Glad you pulled through. Always good news to hear!
Photo grading @ my age tells me two thing. 1 */* say MD + Thank God their is real experts still today.back when I was Hunting the ANA told us that buy 2010 computers would be grading coins mans eyes @ Tpg would. Pcgs is the only one so far that has 1/2 of the answer, machine wise with this the snifter>>>>But errors is a hole new realm today Maybe 2020?"ANA"?> Photo Do not always show 100% of the coin shadows angles etc can fool anyone. but with lop and in hand that?Could change your mind.
I will agree with everyone else that said MD for the word LIBERTY and the date , this is evidenced by the metal pushed up on top of the edge of the letters in LIBERTY . would be hard to say for sure in the words IN GOD WE TRUST from just looking at the photos but mostlikely MD too .
