Hey Ya'll I've bought from an ebay seller before and thought I would pass on a link to his ebay listings... http://coins.search.ebay.com/_Coins-Paper-Money_W0QQcatrefZC12QQsacatZ11116QQsassZsouthparkcoins He sells a good bit of coin books and I've never had a problem with him----just lately he has put some of his books at 70% +/- off....I just bought 6 books from him....some of them you can't even find now days... the books I bought were from 50% off to 75% off.... Speedy
Just as another note---today I was in a bigger town alittle away from us and I stoped by a book store called Half Price Books---I understand its a book store chain---anyway I found some older coin books for pretty good prices. I've been trying to enlarge my Coin Book shelf becaues I find that I can't ID some of the coins I need to ID and just some info I can't find when I need it---so I've been trying to find good books that I can get... I found a lightly used copy of Gold coins of the World by Friedberg for under $10 (they had everything 20% off today also !!! ) and a book by Bowers that he wrote alonggggg time ago when he was alot younger Speedy
I like sellers with a lot of buy it now, thanks for the link, think I might just give him some bizness.
Really???...I rarely buy from dealers that only do BIN's---I would much rather they put the items up for auction and at least let you bid what you think they are worth!...but then that is just me.... Speedy
I like the chance to just buy what I want and not risk losing it...for things I am willing to lose then I am good with the auction but I, more often than not, just want to buy what I want without the 'game' as long as it is priced right (not over priced that is). For things I can live without and know I can find in many places I like to try to get a good deal in an auction. There is something to be said for just being able to buy what you want when you want it though.
well...I didnt find I lot I wanted but I bid on his notgeld and I bought the a Bin Laden wanted dead or alive token
Thanks for the lead, Speedy. I didn't see any books of interest but I enjoyed looking through the list. He had a nice San Diego half worth looking at. I don't mind Buy It Now, either, if the price to my door (including shipping) is reasonable...
We use alot of Buy it Now's in our Ebay store . I offer free shipping to buyers that purchase 2 items or more , & let them choose if they want it insured. If so I will only ask that they cover the insurance. It is a nice alternative & I have found that buyers actually appreciate it. Just my 2 cents-
If your looking for hard to find books, check out these 2 ebay sellers. numisbooks33 and numislit. They boyh deal in hundreds of titles
I've delt with numislit and got just what I needed---I sent PayPal and he didn't see it come in and thought I wasn't going to pay---so he emailed me and I asked that he check to see if payment had come in---he found it and sent the book on faster shipping since he had held it longer than normal. Speedy
I went and checked on numisbooks33 and it looks like some of his prices are alittle high....the dealer I posted above---Southparkcoins IIRC has some of the same books alot cheaper.... Such as: (To save room I'll call numisbooks33 33 and the other one SP) The Strange Career of Dr. Wilkins--SP $3.99--33 $9.95 The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Dimes--SP $7.49--33 $27.50 The Complete Guide to Barber Quarters--SP $7.49--33 $24.95 BUT then he also has books that I would like that the other guy doesn't have....so I guess it evens out... If anyone is wanting any of the 3 books I listed above both sellers still have them last time I looked for those prices.... Speedy
If you folks wanna look for books, I strongly suggest that you use the links you'll find here - BOOKS. You can find just about any book you want, and almost always at a better price than you'll find anywhere else
Who knows, you could even find a good numismatic book here; www.amazon.com or here; www.krausebooks.com . We buy the new Krause & Pick catalogues from Amazon,as the postage from Germany to New Zealand is actually dirt cheap, even though the order is processed somewhere in America, but shipped from a warehouse somewhere in Germany near Frankfurt,I presume.
