Bought this guy today among some other great and rare coins. I haven't seen such an appealing mint stare Barber coin is quite some time.

It's going to join several of them at CAC this next week.

That is one of the nicest I have seen. The toning is what does it.

And they say barbers are ugly.....o_O

It looks like a beautiful coin and one that would go nicely with my Barber half dollar.

The toning is really beautiful...and I love how the obverse looks almost Cameo with Liberty's face being in stark contrast (tone wise) with the rest of the obverse.

EDIT: Forgot to add, a big congrats! :D

Peter needs to add one of these to the smilies for a coin like this.
    Gorgeous!

    Very, extremely ugly.

    AT- clearly.

    Would not grade today.

Uh, knowing that (above) how much do you want for it?

    [Doug: J/K of course.]

Very nice, even though it's a Barber. Looks proof-like.

I suppose if you're "into" toning and high grade show stoppers, it's ok...

But really, I would give my left nickel for that beauty.

The toning on the reverse is sublime. I can't remember ever seeing a Barber Quarter with pull away toning; look at those stars & date, WOW!

Can anyone recommend a coin shop that deals in Uncirculated/AU Barber halves, quarters, and dimes? I've seen so many on ebay, but I don't know just who to trust when it comes to raw Barbers. Would buying a slabbed one and cracking it out be better?

Most any coin shop will have such coins, on occasion, but I think you have something more specific in mind. I am a long time Barber collector and dealer so feel free to ask me questions via PM or start a thread and I will help all I can.
