    5G.jpg 5e.jpg View attachment 286832 View attachment 286833 View attachment 286836 View attachment 286837 this is the first part of a series on draped bust cents. in this part i will be covering 1802 variety S-227. i will post more parts for 1802 and for other years of draped bust cents in the future. the photos are of a low grade example of variety S-227 and show some of the details to attribute variety S-227, in a very simple way. some of the other varieties of 1802 draped bust cents share some of these details, however, it is the combination of these details that help to attribute variety S-227. i used a low grade coin as an example because many of the coins that are on the market are in low grades and because lower grades of draped bust cents are priced lower. 1802 variety S-227 is an R-2 and combines obverse 3 with reverse B.
