I have 2 - 1973 Olympic Coins (Kingston Shore Line) and I'm looking for information on them. Does anyone have any information or sites in the internet I can visit? Thanks.
That doesn't sound like Olympic coins to me. Why the year 1973? Probably medallion if I am not mistaken, but do post pictures if you can. Welcome to cointalk by the way.
to CoinTalk Marnie. Is this your coin? That $5 silver commemorative issued by Canada for the 1976 summer games in Montreal is the closest thing I can find to your inquiry. Since it doesn't mention the location Kingston Shore Line, which is stated at this site to be where the yacht racing was planned, they are undoubtedly privately minted tokens or medallions referring to the same event - maybe put out by the Kingston Shores Yacht Club. gxseries' suggestion of posting pictures is an excellent idea.
Hi Marnie here you go  it includes info on the 73 coin as well, there was a entire series of these coins starting from before the actual olympics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Canadian_Mint_Olympic_Coins De Orc :kewl:
