Love the Red China. BTW- Photo of the second coin is kind of blurry, I think it deserves a better photo.
The second coin doesn't look genuine to me to be honest. Might be the blurred effects but something doesn't look right.
Agreed. On The OP's slabbed coin, the handle of the hammer aligns with the top left inward point of the star. On ripley's coin the hammer handle is offset from the point. Also, the sickle is touching the left inward point of the star, whereas OP's coin does not. And they come too close together at top center.
I think that nearly double catalog value is asking too much, personally. And that $25 is a little much if shipped domestically, but good luck to you! Hope you get what you are asking! http://www.ebay.com/itm/China-Szech...6476672?pt=US_World_Coins&hash=item20d79f0600
and again xf-40 -price is 425 $ , i have xf45 and its much more rare than 500 cash http://www.ebay.com/itm/PCGS-AU58-C...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
I really like the coin. I see the one sold in this grade went for >$1900 so it's very possible. Again I wish you good luck! Please share the results.
ok thank you ! yes it is very possible for China coins , they are very popular in Amerika , i like them cause they remind me Red Days with hammer & sickle , lol i like Soviet Era coins , there is something in them
It's tough in any condition. I have yet to obtain one of this denomination. I have the cent and 5 cent in restrike which I bought for under 10 -20 dollars each back then. And then you have the others: 1933 2 jiao struck in silver 1933 200 cash - looks like cast in lead alloy. Possible comptempory counterfeit. Not too fazed on returning it as it wasn't really a lot from memory plus it was just unusual. 1934 2 jiao. Now this is a rather unusual coin that doesn't pop up anywhere. Should remove the verdigris when I get to it. And finally the 500 cash
According to this Chinese article, there are 8 varieties of this 1934 "200 cash" coin. (There are 19 varieties of the 1933 "200 cash" coin). Gary
