Can one of my fellow coin nuts PLEASE help me. I really want a type set album... But not the 20th century type that Littleton has. I need a 19th century to present type set album like the one Dansco used to have. I have spent hours scouring the internet for this type of album. Dansco says that they discontinued the 7070 COMPLETE. U.S. type set album. They claim that they are working on it and making changes but it has been out of stock everywhere for quite some time now. Like I said before I am really in need of one of these albums if anyone knows where I could find one please let me know....thanks
It might be worth the wait to see what Dansco comes out with. It's actually time for them to make it two separate albums.
As for type set albums Dansco's 7070 appears to be (have been?) the most popular. If they are redesigning it I would suggest waiting for the new version.
I wouldn't hold my breath. Dansco has been in the process of "redesigning" this album for a few years now. My gut feeling is you'll never see it.
Interesting. From what I can see it's a very popular album. I don't use an album for my type set since all of my coins are in slabs. I like the Registry Set concept so slabbing was a necessity.
I am not sure if it's really rare to find, but it's all about effort to find one. eBay has been ridiculous price on used ones. When I learned about the difficult to find that album. Yes, everything online has either sold out or priced higher than retail price. For me, I have been searching for it through my LCS and I was able to find one unopened album and two with no plastic wrap, but both of them are unused. All of them was purchased at retail price. My third one was found from last week. I think it's just an effort to keep looking for one. If you are thinking, then no, my extras aren't for sale. It's like collecting comic books and it's cool to have extras. Yes, I am hoarding 7070 Dansco Album.
Coinsupplyexpress has the 7070 around $19 with free shipping. Intercept shield has one from 19th cemtury to 21st century. The one i have right now is a 20th/21st century album from whitman. You could always buy a blank album and pages for your 19th cemtury coins. And if your rich you can order custom pages from whitman and make a whitman 19th-21st album. But you have to order atleast 5000 pages before they will let you make your own page
