1925 Standing Liberty Error?

    Has anybody seen this sort of thing before? I'm pretty new to coins, wondered if anyone can tell me if this is an error or possibly damage? Is it worth sending to have graded?

    Looks like the coin took a hit (damaged).

    PD. Because the surrounding area of the damage, is raised above the plane surface of the letters.
