Tim, be VERY careful of what you post. To say that the new group is the same company that passed bad checks is incorrect and could be viewed as slander. Given the way you worded things, it could definitely be seen as malice. From what I recall (the company sold on eBay for a while), the old company was the father's company, and I'm pretty certain he's in custody for fraud. The new company was operated by the son. I thought it amazing that they got so much inventory within two weeks of opening business, but there was no solid evidence of fraud by the second group.
I left comments on every large facebook page in my town to warn others about this. From what I gather on various newspaper articles, his "daddy" owes over 13 mil to the IRS, is in debt close to half a billion, and 29 lawsuits pending. You know? This company could be been big had they been honest. There are no coin shops within 40 miles of me, and having a place you could take your coins to from time to time would of been very convenient. Thing is, though his son IS operating it, his daddy would not been one to take lessons from.
Is that in reference to me? I feel like Sisyphus whenever I feel I'm posting basically the same response to a new thread every other day or so.
You know? Something tells me that operating a coin shop in Galesburg, and offering you convenience, would not have allowed them to be just as "big". This has been suggested near countless times in the past, yet he continues unabated. If he is big enough to say it, he is big enough to deal with any consequences that may come from his decisions.
