Yeah haha ! I did assume that a 0 might be missing ! I will leave a note too what would MS60 be ? AUNC ? I don't know the American system I use F,VF, VF+, XF, and UNC I sometimes use aUNC but usually I would just say a high XF.

Is there a guide to the Sheldon system ? I'm looking into learning it just for wholeness

 

MS60 is uncirculated. XF is at least 4 grades lower. You missed AU (50, 53, 55, & 58) in your sequence between XF and UNC.

 

Yeah, normally I don't use AU simply because I find it hard to differentiate normally anything over MS60 to me is madness in my eyes it really is splitting hairs ! Then again I am English and we do like our raw coins. I do want to learn the scale to better understand when people are selling coins. I ask because I just got an aUNC 1803 1 cash and will want to evaluate it to approximate a true value

 

Saying that conditional rarity sounds like it could be true apparently the mintage was around 13 million. So I guess alot of them must be UNC. I will soon find out if NGC get back to me.

FWIW it has started to dawn on me that Gd selling his coins for 50% was actually a damn good deal. This thing is a con game from top to bottom
