I might counter with a Good-Details, heavily cleaned and environmentally damaged.

Details wise it is a G6, but it appears to have been dug out of the ground and heavily cleaned. Perhaps a net grade of FA2.

Buy a grading book, Whitman just released a new edition.

    Then, please read it.

For f12 you need to have a nearly complete LIBERTY on the headband, with just a few letters faded at the bottom.

Um. I just gave you grading advice about how to identify f12 coins. You may be reading all this the wrong way. Yeah some people are harsher than others, but I remember what it was like to learn the intricacies of grading. Hang in there.

Fair enough, but listen... to one extent or another this will forever happen on CoinTalk: We all want to show off coins we think are awesome and then someone deflates us. Take heart, though, for we are not all bitter souls! ;)

I have no idea if I am in the pool of folks who are cool or who aren't cool, but if there is ever an issue I would welcome a PM, or to be called out in a thread, simply to let me know.

Same for me (about letting me know if there is a misunderstanding.)

But you have to be aware that, for this to work, you can be corrected as well. Your initial suggestion of F12 was waaaaaay off...and so a few people pushed you in the right direction. Then one person used the "dug up" line, someone made a self-deprecating joke, and it seems you got offended.

No one here is making fun of you - but you have to be okay with being informed when you are wrong. Doesn't make you a bad person...and no one judged you...it's just a simple matter of fact. That's all...doesn't always come across so well through a keyboard, does it?

EDIT: Oh, and no one said it was junk (except you) - I'd be ecstatic to find this in my change!

Just wanted to state again that my posts in this thread have been intended to assist, not judge or insult.
