This product offering from the mint is reminiscent of the 'coin and chronicles' offerings the mint has produced in the past with the exception that this set is priced a lot higher (directly from the mint) than the other issues were. $75 being a little steep for most YN's and casual collectors. Still, the accumulator in me had to have one and I'd like to share it with you all if I might........:)

Ken is that $75 for both sets or one , if for both it's a steal if for one it isn't too bad . I do like the inclusion of the medal .

It's just one boxed set Rusty. I must have thrown you off with the extra pics. :)

The medal was the impetus for purchasing the set.........

It's the crappy plastic packaging Joe. That's where all the marks are and I'll be danged if I'm going to liberate the medal to take better pics........:)

Ken, you know you want to liberate it! It would be an honor to the general if you did! ;)

Take a look at my website.....half the Morgans, Walking Libs and Commems have all been cracked out....I would probably say more than half! :)

Also, it wasn't the Maine Centennial.....it was the York, Maine.

Rusty it was an MS65! Booyah!

How come there's no pic of the Maine , or is my computer just so slow it didn't load yet ?

Cuz it wasn't the Maine, it was the York County, Maine coin which is towards the end. I bought it from Ken.

I know we have hijacked Ken's thread, but the only coin that I have not cracked out yet is a 1934D MS64 Oregon Trail commem. It has a gold CAC sticker. The gold CAC stickers typically mean the coin is under graded by a point or two. Its also in an old NGC holder which sometimes can command a little premium. I don't know what to do with this thing.

OH Yeah, did I mention that it is a triple die obverse and there are only 2 known/documented. ;)

Silly me. Same State though. Oh the woes of degrading memory.....or perhaps a temporary lapse of reason......
