I'm new to trail dies and need help.

I wanted to know if this coin shows die trails? It is a 1972-D half dollar. I see some lines coming off of the 2 in the date. I don't know how far trail dies go back for any denomination, so I was wondering if this is even possible? Thanks for the help!

This looks like simple die deterioration to me.
