The Bank of Korea placed 100 million 10-won coins into circulation this past week on December 18, 2006. These new coins are not made of brass, but are of copper-coated aluminum.

When I get back to CA, I'll post a pic of my "mint set" from South Korea. 1, 5, 10, 100, 500 Won coins. :thumb:

Satootoka: Thanks for the link. However I couldn't utilize it because of having to download the Korean text suppport software. Too many bytes for my hard drive.

On the Korean language page look at the upper right hand corner. There is a link there for "English", that will take you to the page I am seeing.
