Odd examples - first zinc cent? Has a bit of glue on the reverse like it was glued to something in the past. The other one was for Christmas 1972.

I like the Masonic stamps because there are many different ones and a lot of variety like yours.

I find more Kennedy C/S than any other - there is even a variety of types of counterstamps - most seem to have been done in the mid-1970s and these all have glue and paper residue on them like they were glued to some card.

And the states - hey I have Alaska and Hawaii! The 1988 and 1990 examples were a bit of a surprise when I found them - I thought counterstamping non-Masonic stuff on cents had sort of died out in the 1970s.

I wonder if they are from a certain fraternity at Yale?

The Bicentennial era in the USA seems to have been the time when most of these were done. DSCF3070.JPG

Hoff4.JPG Hoff 1.JPG I wanted to post a better picture of the Hoff counterstamp that I bought from Mike Thorne. Taking it off the bracelet made it much easier to photograph. I intend on leaving it in the bezel, at least for now, as I'm afraid I might damage the coin if I have it removed.

Nice! Did you buy the whole necklace or just the gold piece?

Just the one coin Pi man. I was only interested in the Quarter Eagle with the counterstamp.

Got it. Is the bezel gold as well?

Bruce, you might want to send your pictures to Greg Brunk, if you haven't already. Nice pictures.

I did contact him by e-mail with attachments Mike. He couldn't Photoshop them enough to make them useable but thought he might have better luck with hard copies. I'll mail him some this week.
