Half proof Morgan's.....?

    Is it possible for a morgan dollar to have one side ( obv or rev ) be DMPL but the other side to be just like a regular buisness strike?

    Yes, I believe many NGC star coins are either PL or DMPL on one side only.

    Is it usually the obv or rev because the coin I'm getting is on the rev only

    The term DMPL is used to describe a business strike with proof-like qualities and has nothing to do with the proof-making process. Yes, it is possible for a coin to have DMPL qualities on one side and not on the other because some dies wore out faster than others and needed to be replaced.

    I have a Morgan where the Obv looks PL and the reverse is normal. That is the main reason i picked it up. Graded as MS64 by NGC
