Possible 1984 D error penny?

    There appears to be something under the D but I can't really tell, it just doesn't look right to the naked eye, and even more so under a mag. glass. Tried to take pictures the best I could.

    Looks like some plating issues...

    Post-1982 cents are composed of a 97.5% zinc core with a 2.5% copper plating. That thin layer of plating can develop issues such as corroding, rotting, and other things that are to be expected. It is not a mint error, it is just issues with the plating, or "plating issues".
