Hi I was getting ready to put this in my spend pile when I noticed that on the collar there is a line that looks like it goes through the tie and continues on. Not sure if I should put in my collect pile so I am reaching out to the pros. 2022 penny side.jpg 2022 penny front.jpg

Need a better and closer pic. That said perhaps your talking about a continuation of the vest?

Yes that is where it is if the line continued it would run into the first 2 in the date. I did not know what to call that area lol.

Really need a better pic. If the line curves down it looks like the front of the vest. If it were to go to the 2, it could be a die break.

I think I see something in the first picture.
Most likely a small plating blister.
That's an issue that occurs on Copper plated zinc cents.

We had one of ours dogs pass away at our house late last night. It was so sudden his heart gave out he was old and lived a good life. The other two dogs know something happened to their brother. It will be a day or two and I will get a better picture thanks.

I think I am going to put this in my spend pile since it appears not to be anything to keep. Thank you all and thanks paddyman98 for the explanation of it.

If I turn my phone upside down and make your cent larger I believe you have a nice example of a plating blister.

Hi thanks for the comment I have a very stupid question to ask from a very stupid newbie lol. When you guys open the above pictures does it let you enlarge it? I have downloaded Zoom Camera FX hoping to get better pictures of my coins.

Can only enlarge one step up. You can see for yourself after you post click on the pic.
