Still putting together a list of my picks...searched through every proof set and coin that was in the shop...but this is BY FAR the best pick I've ever had:

1970 "No S" Proof Roosevelt Dime, Cameo to boot!

Umm...so...I admit that I saw doubling in the next coin. I DIDN'T know exactly what I had, though, until I looked it up just now...

    1972 S Silver Ike DDO FS-101
URS-5 (according to CPG, that means 9-16 known!)

That certainly looks like a doubled die to me. I see very good evidence of notching/splits. Whether it is the CPG variety or not, I'm afraid I can't say. Very nice find(s)! :)

Okay, I'm about to just die with amazement at all the coins sitting on my desk.

BUT in the meantime...an important question for the 1970 "No S" Proof Dime - should I leave it in the set to send in to get graded, or should I take it out?

On the dime, what is that vertical mark from the top of the "I" in IGWT? If it is a scratch, it would get a details grade and no cameo designation (assuming it is).

That is a scratch on the slab (thank god!)

Do you want to sell it? If so, I'd slab. These have been averaging around $850 in a 68 PCGS holder.

    And great finds!

Well, I am pretty sure it's going to a TPG to get graded. Big question is - do I keep it in the OGP, or is that unnecessary?

Ahh...now I understand the question. I'd probably let them take it out. Unless you are confident you can crack it without damage.

Well, I'm 95% sure I can get it out safely. I just don't want them to even question its authenticity...of course, I suppose one could glue the OGP back together...

Okay, here's the mostly-complete list of my haul from today:
*1970 "No S" Proof Roosevelt Dime
*1964 Proof DCAM Kennedy Half Quadruple Die Obverse
*1969 S Silver Proof DCAM Kennedy Half DDO/DDR
    *1964 Proof Jefferson Nickel DDR-001
    *1960 Proof Jefferson Nickel DDR
    *1961 Proof Jefferson Nickel TDR
*1971 S Silver Proof DCAM Eisenhower Dollar TDO
*1972 S Silver Proof DCAM Eisenhower Dollar DDO (2, one is much stronger than the other)
*1973 S Silver Proof DCAM Eisenhower Dollar DDO
*1976 S Clad Proof DCAM Eisenhower Dollar DDO
In addition to the above coins, I also picked up:
*A gorgeous 1954 Proof Set with indigo/purple toning. Half might be Cameo, quarter is Cameo, dime is Cameo, nickel is superb, and the cent is red on the reverse and blue/violet on the obverse. Strange stuff!
    *Cameo/DCAM 1968 S, 1970 S, 1970 S Kennedy Halves
*A sweet MS 1955 D Quarter for my hoard

There's no question as to what it is, it's definitely a proof without a MM. No reason to submit the whole set.
    Congrats on the picks, nice!

Well, spoke with TPG this morning, and they said there is no reason to keep the coin inside the set if I don't want the whole thing graded. SO - here are some new photos!

There are way more of these known than just 9-16 friend. The actual FS-101 is really a TDO since there was a master doubled die which in itself got doubled creating the TDO.

BTW, helluva score on the No S Roosevelt!!

Close inspection of your coin shows that its NOT the FS-101 for the 1972-S IKE's.

    What you have is:

    1972-S

    MDO-001
    Designation:
    MD-1-O-II-C (S, PR)

    Description:
Light spread on LIBE of LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST

    Grade:

    Population:

    Markers:
Strength of doubling will vary depending upon hub and die state

    19Lyds,

Thanks for the help! I'm relatively new to the Ike variety game...so I honestly do appreciate the info. (And I usually take the URS numbers with a grain of salt...one other example being the 1981 S Type 2 SBA Proof...URS of 8 (65-125?) has to be WAYYYY off, as I've personally found about 10 over the last year or two and there are plenty available on eBay.)

I've tried going to the Ike Group website for "self-attribution" of my finds...but it seems like I'm just not finding the correct page for what I'm looking for. Or maybe it's hidden so you need to use their attribution service...
