'55 DD back from TPG, what did it grade?

    I bought this raw at a local coin show back in the summer of 1995. Nearly 20 years later, I decided to send it in.

    I really have no idea, but I will literally guess AU55.

    AU-50 RB ...? The face/head lacks detail, could be the result of the double strike.

    Is that rim damage at 8 o'clock obverse or is it just the picture?

    Well the color worries me from the pictures - but maybe just the pictures. Going to say ms-62.

    color and that rim thingy on the obverse worry me. AU58, if it graded ?

    Yes there is a small nick in the rim as pointed out.

    how about a hint, au or ms, color doesn't matter, that wasn't the question asked

    None of the guesses listed here are the one listed for this coin.

    The rim ding is now covered up by the holder. If you looked at in-hand now, you would never see it. Think about color.

    Grade revealed tomorrow.
